Elementary Students Working At Computers In Classroom Using Keyboard Concentrating

It is almost that time of year again…to prepare for the NC End of Grade tests. Unlike any other year, many of our students have been instructional impacted due to Covid-19. In addition, our 3rd grade students are NEW to standardized testing. As a result, Primary Fundamentals is offering NC EOG Group Preparatory Sessions to review and prepare students to apply what they have learned this school year through our EOG prep sessions. Our EOG prep sessions will include:

  • Test-taking Skills (on the computer-many schools are opting for computer-based assessments)
  • Math/Reading Strategies
  • Specific NC Math domains (see below)
  • Specific NC Reading domains ( see below)
  • Online Practice/Practice Test Booklet

The NC End-of-Grade assessments are administered in line with North Carolina State Standards that specify what students at each grade should cover during the academic year. The tests aim to verify whether students are meeting academic expectations at each grade level. Results of the EOG test are used to provide critical data that is useful to parents, teachers, and students.

NC EOG Testing Schedule

Just like other statewide assessments across the United States, there’s an annual timetable for NC EOG tests. Typically, NC EOG tests take place at the end of the school year between May and June. Each school has its internal test calendar so long as the tests are done within the stipulated state testing window. Testing time varies according to the subject and grade tested. For example, the EOG Reading Test time is 140 minutes to a maximum of 240 minutes.
For this reason, our EOG prep sessions, led by licensed teachers, will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 pm, starting May 5 – June 2.
